isn’t festival just dumplings with sugar added in basically??? i’m pretty sure

  12. Yeah boiled and fried dumplings my family does make but I heard that festival was something different altogether and sort of related to the roti that Trinidadians make.

  13. I agree. My family makes everything. Curry coat and rice, turn corrmeal, rice and peas, escovitch fish, jerk pork… you name it. But we know it as fried dumpling, and there aint no vanilla in it. Sounds nice all the same so I’ll try it.

  14. I’m not sure about the whole Vanilla thing never heard of that in festival before.

  15. My family never makes festival although they make everything else, and my grandmother even knows how to make patties! LOL

I thought my Mom told me that festival was more of a Trini thing sorta like roti?

  16. The festival recipe seems correct to me,however I am a little scared to try it after seeing her,Dumplin recipe.

  17. I tried it and it turned out good. I was trying before but now I let the dough get a little bit sticky and let is rest for 30 minutes. YUMMY

tell the set designer not to put the plant infront of the sink… the kitchen should look functional not like a set. keep it up
